The Earthlands Intentional Community is a community-based organization where experiential learning and personal empowerment are the basis for learning how to live in harmony with the Earth and all its creatures. The empowerment process helps integrate an individual's ecological, spiritual, economic and emotional concerns, so that one can claim the personal confidence and power needed to make courageous life choices. Lasting community health and societal change depend on the empowered individual.
Earthlands is located in Petersham, MA and has 15-20 residents, and has openings for residents, interns, and volunteers to support the vision and programs.

In 1978 former members of the Findhorn Community in Scotland set out to start a new community in the U.S. - a "Center of Light" - a community of spiritual renewal grounded in ecological living. They settled in Western Massachusetts and founded Sirius, named after the star which is known esoterically as the source of love and wisdom for our planet.
Nineteen years later we see ourselves as a Center of Light and as an aspiring Eco-village researching spiritual and ecological principles and demonstrating what we've learned.
Sirius is 24 adults, eight children, and several apprentices and interns living, working, and playing on 93 acres of hardwood forest in western Massachusetts. We are situated between the Quabbin Reservoir and the Connecticut River valley, nestled on the eastern hills of the Pioneer Valley - a fertile seedbed of cultural and spirtual activity that forms our larger community.
Our primary activities include each member's personal spiritual growth; our outreach to the world through our guest programs and Conference Center; our work toward becoming a model ecovillage; and our newly formed School of Ecological Community Living. Our Guest Department brings like-minded groups from all over the world to conduct workshops and conferences on spirituality and personal growth, community building, and ecological sustainability.
We derive our community income from community members' rents and dues, rental of the conference facilities, and tuition from students of the School of Ecological Community Living. Some members work as staff for the community, some have home businesses, and some work at jobs outside of Sirius.
Sacred Community
At Sirius we acknowledge the positive impact that a unified group aligned with Spirit can have on the destiny of this planet. Sirius is one part of an expanding network of light working to increase the consciousness of the earth's inhabitants.
This intentional spiritual community is where we are drawn to offer our most effective healing service to the world. We are here for each other and visitors; for fellowship, assistance, reminders, reflections, and perspective, as we strive to embody this vision of a new planetary consciousness that honors the interconnectedness and sacredness of all living things.

If someone is willing to train, equip, sweat and freeze, with others who intend to preserve their family's lives and the American way of life. They are welcome in our group.
We at the Survival Training And Reaction Team believe that the government can not and will and will not be able to help in the event of a real disaster or emergency and that it is the responsibility of individuals to protect and prepare themselves and their families from any upcoming disaster.
We do not subscribe to the latest Chicken Little, 'sky is falling,' emergency of the day. If Y2K turns out to be nothing more than an inconveince, we will consider that a dress rehearsal for any upcoming crisis. Make no mistake however, we WILL be ready.
We will be prepared to assist with rebuilding America in the aftermath of a crash.
We are located in the New England area and we base our Team loosely on the 'group" in the fictional novel called "Triple Ought".
